The Speakers will be Mervyn Albon, Class Underwriter Property Schemes, Broadgate Syndicate 1301 at Lloyd’s; and Rachel Doerr, Director, and Sean McIlroy, Senior General Valuer, at Lyon & Turnbull.

Mervyn will focus on the specific requirements of Household Insurance for High Net Worth clients; whilst Rachel and Sean will share their experience of Valuations for Fine Art and Antiques.

Speaker Profiles

Mervyn joined Syndicate 1301 in May 2008 as Property Schemes Underwriter, specialising in household, fine art and jewellery insurance solutions for High Net Worth individuals around Europe. He has underwritten in the London market for Chubb Insurance Company of Europe SA, Hiscox Insurance Company and Hiscox Syndicate 33. He also previously worked as a Senior Underwriter for A I G Private Client Group in New York.

Rachel and Sean bring extensive knowledge of valuation having worked previously with Philips Auctioneers in Chester and London. Sean is a fully qualified Valuer and has been involved in valuing antiques for over 25 years. He trained at Christie’s in London, now specialises in Furniture, Works of Art and Pianos, and is also an auctioneer.
